In this role, you will work across the product designing thoughtful, system based solutions for challenging customer problems and helping the team build remarkable software interfaces.&nbsp;The Vercel Design Team is a group of passionate designers who work to solve challenges that are unique, complex and nuanced-just like the web.</p> <p>If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, even if the role is listed as remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.</p> <h2><strong>What You Will Do:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Ship the best design work of your career</li> <li>Collaborate on the strategic product direction related to financial infrastructure</li> <li>Own the design process through gathering requirements with Product, iterating on visuals, and guiding the implementation with Engineering</li> <li>Advocate for, and guide other designers and engineers about Vercel&#39;s approach to designing financial infrastructure across the product.</li> <li>Help nurture a design culture within the company.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>About You:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>You have at least 4 years of experience designing interactive apps, preferably in complex technical industries.</li> <li>You have excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills.</li> <li>You can differentiate when to use the design system, when to break it, and when to evolve it.</li> <li>You’re comfortable delivering the right artifacts at the right time with modern design tooling: from FigJam workshops to Figma mockups to production/prototype code with v0, Cursor, or Claude Code.</li> <li>You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to proactively seek feedback and influence peers while improving the product.</li> <li>You are a phenomenal collaborative teammate capable of delivering feedback with candid care and taking constructive feedback with no ego.</li> <li>You’re comfortable working in an environment where engineering ships quickly</li> <li>You’re able to voice a design perspective with conviction but open mindedness</li> <li>You have some experience designing in highly technical industries like developer tooling, security related tools, or infrastructure software.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Bonus if You:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Are comfortable with basic modern web development, from Git to Javascript</li> <li>Are experienced with design systems</li> <li>Are already familiar with Vercel products</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits:</h2> <ul> <li data-stringify-indent=&quot;0&quot; data-stringify-border=&quot;0&quot;>Competitive compensation package, including equity.</li> <li data-stringify-indent=&quot;0&quot; data-stringify-border=&quot;0&quot;>Inclusive Healthcare Package.</li> <li data-stringify-indent=&quot;0&quot; data-stringify-border=&quot;0&quot;>Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.</li> <li data-stringify-indent=&quot;0&quot; data-stringify-border=&quot;0&quot;>Flexible Time Off.</li> <li data-stringify-indent=&quot;0&quot; data-stringify-border=&quot;0&quot;>We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.</li> </ul> <p><span data-sheets-root=&quot;1&quot;>The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $156,000 - $234,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location.
