For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.</p> <h2>What You Will Do:</h2> <ul> <li>Manage our fleet of clusters, running 100’s of instances, deployed in every region where our customers deploy and run their code.</li> <li>You will be writing Golang on a daily basis, while terraform will be your go-to tool when it comes to provisioning the needed infra. You will get to know the ins and outs of Nomad as it’s our current choice for scheduling the workloads.</li> <li>The platform you will be building provides all the primitives to run all untrusted code from our customers: even a 1% performance improvement has massive repercussions across the board.</li> <li>Working collaboratively with cross-team and cross-functional stakeholders, you will participate in the conception and implementation of new platform features.</li> <li>Other examples of the work you will be carrying out: <ul> <li><a href=&quot;https://vercel.com/fluid&quot;>Fluid Compute</a></li> <li><a href=&quot;https://vercel.com/changelog/lower-pricing-with-active-cpu-pricing-for-fluid-compute&quot;>Active CPU Pricing</a></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>About You:</h2> <ul> <li>You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, Golang preferred.</li> <li>You have extended experience with Containers, Virtual Machines, Linux, and like digging deep to know how these things work under the hood (<code>tcpdump</code>&nbsp;,&nbsp;<code>strace</code>&nbsp;and <code>iptables</code> are your best friends).</li> <li>You design systems that improve performance or increase reliability. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
